HP Spectre x360 - Beautiful Design  

The HP Spectre x360 is a fantastic improvement to an already great laptop, bringing the newest Intel hardware to a beautiful 2-in-1 gadget.

It's a little noisy at times, and it's pricey, but it looks great and has excellent battery life.

It's difficult to improve on a winning recipe, but HP has done exactly that with the Spectre x360.

With Intel's Evo certification, the bar for what to expect from these laptops has been raised. 

HP had to improve not only the laptop's functionality but also its appearance and battery life to meet Intel's standards.

Our battery life test with PCMark 10 lasted over 13 hours.

1- Specifications:

2- Design:

The HP Spectre x360 is a luxury laptop with a premium design, and it does not disappoint.

To be honest, we had no doubts; the previous model was one of the most appealing computers we'd ever seen.

As a result, the new model is yet another gorgeous HP laptop.

The HP Spectre x360 looks almost comparable to the previous version, which isn't a bad thing considering how delighted we were with its design.

The HP Spectre x360 has a brushed metal finish that is available in a range of colors.

The 360-degree hinge of the HP Spectre x360 feels sturdy and trustworthy, allowing the screen to entirely tilt back, changing it into a tablet-like gadget.

The word 'Spectre' is etched on the right-hand side, adding to the HP Spectre x360's overall expensive appearance.

The keyboard is roomy and comfortable to use, with plenty of travel between keys.

They're also lit, making them easy to use in the dark.

The touchpad is responsive and pleasant to use.

It's a touch wider than a 13-inch laptop, allowing you to move your fingers a little more freely.

A fingerprint scanner is located to the right of the touchpad for logging into Windows 10.

3- Performance:

The HP Spectre x360's features and speed are the most notable upgrades over the previous model, with the laptop working as a platform for Intel's current mobile processors.

The Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor was used in the review unit we received.

This is a quad-core processor with a max frequency of 4.70GHz, which is a major upgrade over last year's model's Intel Core i7-1065G7 (previous generation CPU).

The new HP Spectre x360 exceeds the old model, as evidenced by our Cinebench and Geekbench scores, with a single-core score of 1,317 against 1,259.

It isn't a huge step forward, but it is development nonetheless.

It's good to see Intel improve on the Core i7-1065G7, which was already a fantastic mobile processor.

4- Battery life:

Long battery life is one of the most important things Intel is emphasizing with its Intel Evo platform, and the HP Spectre x360 doesn't disappoint.

It lasted 11 hours and 22 minutes in our battery life test, which involves playing a 1080p video clip at 50% brightness until the battery dies.

The previous HP Spectre x360 performed admirably in our test, lasting 10 hours and 55 minutes.

The extra half-hour is welcome, as it demonstrates that the more powerful components did not sacrifice battery life.

We also ran the PCMark 10 battery life test on the laptop, which mimics everyday workloads like web browsing and video calling.

The HP Spectre x360 managed approximately 13 hours in this test, which is a huge improvement over the previous model's four-hour score (on PCMark 8).

5- Features And Verdict:

The HP Spectre x360 includes a single USB-A connector, allowing it to connect to practically any existing device or memory stick. 

Two Thunderbolt USB-C connections are located on the laptop's opposite side for charging and high-speed video output to an external display. 

For a notebook this thin, this provides adequate connectivity.

Because the webcam has an infrared sensor, it can be used to unlock the device with just your face. 

We also liked how the camera can be turned off with a single button click, which activates the camera shutter, turns off the microphone, and significantly minimizes the odds of your most recent Zoom conference becoming viral.

The Verdict:

With its premium style, cutting-edge performance, class-leading power efficiency, and overall versatility in converting into a handy tablet with a single twist, the HP Spectre x360 is a wonderful convertible laptop.

The HP Spectre x360's two-in-one design and smart stylus make it an excellent partner for business users, especially those who frequently show it to clients while on the go. 

If you don't require a laptop that can be turned inside out on a whim, we recommend the Dell XPS 13, which is less expensive but just as powerful.

• It is not suitable for use as a tablet device.

Conclusion:

The HP Spectre x360 is one of the greatest compact convertible laptops available.

It lacks features found in competitors, such as 5G and a slot-in stylus, but it does have outstanding build quality, a keyboard you'll enjoy typing on, a long battery life, and a screen with a pretty good contrast ratio.

This is one of the most capable convertible laptops available.

If you want a high-quality keyboard with a small footprint that fits easily into smaller bags, this is the one to get.
